Open Houses
Last updated: 01/05/2009
Healthy Waters is hosting a series of open houses where you can ask questions, find out more detailed information and provide your thoughts and feedback.
These informal events will be held in local community venues. Each event will run for four hours and you can attend at a time that suits you best – after dropping the children off at school, on the way to go shopping, or at the end of the day after work.
Everyone is welcome to visit - adults and children alike; and you can stay as long as you like - there are no formal presentations or speeches.
Information will be provided about the water resources in each region so you can provide comments about the quality of these water resources today and what you would like to see in the future. There will be opportunities to talk with technical staff, and there will be maps, photos, descriptions of water resources and other information to explore.
There will also be a children’s corner where they can tell us what they would like for the future too.
Coffee and tea will be provided.
Tell us your story
As part of each event, the project team will be gathering material for ‘digital’ stories about the efforts of land holders and community volunteers to protect and improve the environment, and water quality. These stories will be published on our website.
If you have a story you want to share, bring along some digital photos (saved as jpeg files) that show us your local area and what you have been doing. We will help you record information to go with them, edit the material and get it ready to go onto the web as an audio-visual package.
